The governing board of the TSP foundation:

Gerard, Terie en Clemens

Gerard Ketels (RN) (chairman)

Gerard (1955) is a nurse by profession working for Mentrum psychiatric services in Amsterdam. In the past he has been working for Doctors Without Borders in Tajikistan and for Health Net International in Bosnia. Since June 2005 he is working as management consultant for Health Net - TPO in: South Sudan, Eritrea, Pakistan and Cambodia.

Hobbies are: horse riding and as a volunteer at stables for handicapped people 'Prins Willem Alexander Manege' in Amsterdam.

His motivation to dedicate himself to TSP is: 'Tajikistan is a very poor country and neglected by the rich Western Countries. TSP advocates for the most vulnerable people in this region. The support is being provided on demand and goes straight to the beneficiaries. In order to have any significant impact it is important that the support is enduring and will motivate en encourage the workers'. He hopes that new ideas about care and cure will be rooted in, he feels priviliged to be able to contribute to this process.

Terie Leijs (secretary)

Terie (1942) was employed as social worker at the Hondsberg, an observation and treatment centre for mentally retarded children. Besides his work for the clinic and outpatients, as chief of helpdesk he advised families and care takers. Before he retired he has set up projects in the field of prevention and early-stage support.

Hobbies are: music, swimming, canoeing, long distant walking on his yearly weeks-long rambling.

His motivation for TSP: 'Through Gerard the Hondsberg got involved at the Children's Centre in Dushanbe. Poverty and desperatesituation strictly limit the chances for a positive change'. Gerard got acquainted with aid workers who stayed on board the sinking ship. They deserve to be suported.

Clemens Ketels (MSc RN) (treasurer)

Clemens (1963) is nurse by profession and has an academic degree in nursing. Presently he works as teacher in nursing at the Graafschap College and is employed as parttime nurse for mentally retarded people at the Fatima foundation. Besides this he is member of disciplinary college of nursing.

Hobbies are: walking, jogging, playing piano and gardening.

His motivation tot dedicate himself to TSP is very basic: 'It seems terrible to me as a patient to belong to a totally forgotten group, and in a poor neglected country on top of that. In these circumstances the need for support is even bigger for the sick and vulnerable people. No doubt that the people on which TSP is focussing are in need of all the support they can get. But only few organizations concern themselfs about the plight of these people and that is what we have to change. Starting with myself'.
